Genesis Resources' (ASX: GES) flagship gold, silver & copper project at Plavica in the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia has a JORC-inferred resource of; 1.65 million troy ounce of gold at 0.9 g/t, 28.2 million ounces of silver at 15.3 g/t and 32.6 million pounds of copper at 0.282%.
Leach test results have been received by Genesis Resources from the Plavica Project located in the Former Yugoslav Republic of
Macedonia, with oxide material providing extraction of 95.4% and 97.9% of gold from 12.5mm to 3.35mm size-fractions respectively, undertaken by SGS Minerals Services UK Ltd.
Froth flotation of sulphide material provides recoveries up to 83.5% gold and 97.1% copper to a rougher concentrate, with results suggesting a hydrometallurgical process route for sulphide material such as Albion or BIOX is possible.
Two samples of material collected from diamond drill core derived from drilling undertaken on the property by Rio Tinto in 1998, formed the basis of the metallurgical testwork.
One sample, weighing 35.35kg, represented oxide material and the other sample, weighing 35.05kg represented the sulphide material.
Eddie Pang, chairman, said "Unlike some high-sulphidation gold-copper dominant systems in the eastern European region, the Plavica project demonstrates very positive metallurgical properties.
"Potential processing routes include heap-leaching of oxide material and froth flotation of sulphide material."
The Plavica Project is a joint venture between Genesis and Sileks AD Kratovo, where Genesis is the manager and holds the right to acquire a 62% participating interest by sole funding exploration on the project to completion of a final feasibility study.

Under the investor radar till now, these positive metwork results will enable Genesis to step up the pace at the Plavica project, and will commence a resource drilling program to begin early next year.
